Ryan Bohnsack DHS Principal

We’re excited to announce that our current Assistant Principal, Ryan Bohnsack, was named Dodgeville High School’s new Principal at Tuesday evening’s School Board Meeting!

Mr. Bohnsack has been with the Dodgeville School District since 2007. Before becoming our DHS Assistant Principal, Bohnsack taught Math and spent a year in Special Education to gain more experience while finishing his administrative license. Since then, he has been a very prominent figure in our schools by holding roles such as Head Football Coach, Head Boys Basketball Coach, Assistant Basketball Coach, Middle School Basketball Coach, Middle School Track Coach, and Sophomore Class Advisor. Bohnsack has also been influential in creating the SEEING Forward program within the Dodgeville Schools, while serving as the Alternative Education Coordinator and the Summer Learning Coordinator.

“I want to take this time to thank the Dodgeville School Board for selecting me to be the next high school principal. To the DHS teachers, I love the creative energy you're putting into making sure that the students are engaged and connected through this time when students can’t be in school physically. To the DHS students, I cannot wait to throw the biggest pancake breakfast and open those doors for you to come back to school! To my family, Joni, Alexa, Ava, and Cade, thank you for the endless sacrifices you've made in order for me to be successful here at the school and making sure that we emulate that Dodger mentality of supporting everybody. Thank you again Dodgeville! It’s a great day to be a Dodger!”

Bohnsack and his wife Joni live in Dodgeville and have three children, Alexa, a DHS 2016 graduate, Ava, graduating from DHS in 2020, and Cade, a DES 3rd grader.
