Meetings

Ladies in Tune meet every Tu/Th from 710-745 am in the Vocal Music Room.

Rocket Club meets every Wednesday after school in A10 STEAM Room.

 

Thursday Advisory - Yearbook Meeting in the Library

 

Sports: 

Wrestling Cheer will have practice M-F this week 330 - 500pm in the lower commons.


Friday 430pm - BBB Scrimmage @ New Glarus (bus 330)

600pm - GBB HOME vs Mineral Point 


Girls Softball Players who missed Wednesday nights parent/player meeting - please stop in the office for the information packet that was given out about the Spring Break Trip to Alabama.

Any boys soccer players who were not at the banquet this weekend or who forgot their uniforms need to get them turned in to Señor Glynn ASAP.

Any volleyball player who has not at the awards banquet last night or seniors please stop by the art room to pick up your certificates, awards and senior gift. Don't forget tryouts for Western Elite and Southern Heat are this weekend. Brochures are posted in Google Classroom and in the carousel in the office.

Student Announcements:

Freshmen Butter Braid Delivery will occur on Thursday 11/21. Only Freshmen who have sold Butter Braids should come to the commons at 3:10, no earlier please. Freshmen, please have a plan for delivering to your customers on Thursday. The Butter Braids are frozen and will need to be placed into a freezer ASAP so they do not thaw and ruin. Questions, ask Mr. Alleman.

FFA Big Buck Contest for the 9 day hunt.  $5 entry fee is due by this Friday, Nov 22nd to Mr McGraw.  You must be a paid FFA member to enter the contest.

Hey Freshman! We will be starting Freshman Academic and Career Planning (ACP) meetings very soon! Please stop in the Counseling Center to sign up to meet with either Ms. Bonsett-Veal (last names A-K) or Ms. Brunson (last names L-Z).


During our meetings, we will overview all the courses you are taking this year and talk about credits you are earning. We will also talk about courses you should take next. And finally, we will begin talking about what you might want to do after you graduate! P.S. it's ok if you are not sure :)

Key Club, Current Events Club and NHS are teaming up to sponsor a trivia night to fundraise for Iowa County's Free Clinic which provides free or reduced medical care for uninsured or underinsured members of our community. It will be held in the DHS Library at 6 PM Thursday November 21st.  Doors open at 5:30 PM

The Cost is $4 per person if you pre-register at: https://forms.gle/JGaP8GFrwqK6X3Kb9  or $5 at the door. Up to 5 people per team

Would you like some help with homework?  On Tuesdays and Thursdays in advisory you can be tutored by students from NHS. Some of the best students in the school are available to help get you back on track. There is no subject we can't help you with.  Ask your teacher if tutoring may be right for you!

Club/Organization  Announcements:

Current Events Club will be meeting on Wednesday during advisory to discuss the Impeachment Hearings.  Also, members should bring their $15 dues to the meeting. T-shirts will be given out to paid members.  There will also be a people quiz on the bulletin board outside Mr. Dorscheid's room. Enter for a chance to win a Kwik Trip Gift Card.

Wednesday, November 20th State FFA Officer, Grace Morrissey,  VP from Shullsburg will be here for the chapter visit. There are a couple students that may want to come and listen. We have an FFA meeting tomorrow and I will get names at that time. Just a heads up on her visit.


There will be a free pizza and bowling party for all paid FFA members at The Dodger Bowl on Thursday November 21, 2019 starting at 6pm until 7:30. You can still join FFA if you are interested.

NHS T-Shirts are in!  If you have already paid come to Mr. Dorscheid's room and pick up your shirt.  Otherwise, bring your $8 in ASAP.

If you are looking to join DECA please get dues to Mr. Schaaf ASAP. All DECA members should check into google classroom to put in their t-shirt sizes along with ordering extra apparel if needed. DECA officers please see Mr. Schaaf to pick up forms ASAP.  The classroom code is bm1fen

Reminder to HOSA members to pay $25 member fee ASAP. You can still join until Tues, November 26. Bring money to room D-5 or Mrs.Roh-Wasley. Those who want to also participate in regional competition will also need to pay $10 by December 1 so please bring this with you to Nov. 26 meeting.
